Hello, friends DeleD!
I am in the Novice Class of Games. Use the Realm Crafter Engine as the Editor and I am choosing to do my best for 3D modeling projects for the Realm Crafter ... Much like the DeleD and would like to use the PRO version for carrying out projects.
I'm having a doubt, I got some .B3d on the Internet and included in the Library of the Realm Crafter, they appear to Texture (Color) without being required any other file.
When I exported from DeleD to B3d files are created with the textures separately. Its texture to be in the same file. B3d or modeling are the colors in the file. B3d without being separated .JPG?
I would like information I can Export .B3d with the textures and colors together in the same file .B3d!
"Thanks, _________________ Pato de Borracha Company |

Hi there,
Welcome to these forums!
There is a big difference between vertex colors and textures.
B3D files can contain vertex colors, but they do not support embedded textures(*), so textures will will always be external files.
Since a couple of versions, DeleD supports vertex colors. You can access them by selecting vertices in Vertex mode, and using the Object Inspector to set the vertex color. However, the B3D Exporter doesn't support vertex colors yet.
Here is the deal: if you create your DeleD scene using vertex colors and send the .dxs to paul [at] delgine [dot] com, I'll extend the b3d exporter to properly export the vertex colors. Would that be ok?
Do note that, even when using vertex colors, a scene without textures tends to look rather bland. Textures are there for a reason.
(*) If you are really really sure I am wrong, and your B3D file does include embedded textures, please send it to paul [at] delgine [dot] com so I can reverse engineer it to see how it's done... thanks! |
