Looking back through the gallery, all my images suck to hell. These come from a time when DeleD was a less capable editor, and when I was a lot more conservative with my polygon count. Those garbage cans in that one shot look horrible!
I wish the training center were deleted from the gallery, it looks so bad. I believe that comes from a time when DeleD used integers for position data, and the grid wouldn't go below 2.
The night club scene looked good a few years ago, when the lightmap was a lot less capable then it is now. I had to do a lot of experimentation and trickery to produce that. Now it looks like junk, and much better results can be produced without needing to mess around with anything.

It's -27c out right now. Maybe it's time to park myself here and redo these things showing off what DeleD can do today. Time to replace that training center. |

yeah, I think the gallery in total needs a little cleanup? maybe make A new gallery when 2.0 comes out, so you have a 1.0 and a 2.0 gallery? _________________ Chickens RULE | www.elementrix.nl |

Recreating my training center now with a high polycount, and more imagination. My big problem now is trying to create round floor pads. Using low values in the smooth setting.
Doesn't seem to work very well. I get a what looks like a used inset on a cube several times, and they still light like they are perfectly straight cubes. the actual edges don't get rounded out. Just the top and bottom profile. the 90 degree turns are still 90 degrees.
387 polygons and it still looks like it does when it's 6 polygons.

Doesn't matter I guess, it won't be noticeable when the sholw scene is showing. |

I've posted many other things, like morgue rooms, a temple, and cemeteries and probably not. I hate seeing that training center pop up on the front page, and I'm going to replace it.
Then the club. |

Damn Fletcher, you jinxed me. I welded, changed a material, and set some vertex colors and then got an AV on saving. Both the file and the backup are corrupt.
Unexpected end of input (36810, 41).
The file just stops in the middle of a <poly> block. |

I've run into that problem, just go back into the file and close the xml tags. You'll lose some information, generally I've found the recovered scene to be relatively unbutchered. One of my modelers had this problem too the other day after welding something too, though the recovery went smooth. |

Yeah I know it's easily fixed. I was just too tired at the time.
If I have to fix the file and lose the data, the program might as well just give me the readable data, instead of throwing everything out. |

Fixed lockers, rebuilt the half of the gym that was missing and punching bags.

I think you are too hard on yourself. We are our "Own worst critics".
All the images look good. Of course, the latest ones look far superior tho. _________________ Some day I will grow up and be a real modeler.
