Hi Guys.

Well, i thank the DeleD developers for fixing my file. *adore*

But i have another problem... its not really technical, its just tricky to fix it.

I have one "big" model and another "big" model. And i want to put the first model into the second model. I have tried it with copying the whole model. The result: An Memory Acess Error...

I have also tried it making it an Prefab. The Problem is that a Prefab most be only one object. CSG Operations, false... grouping, false...

Can someone help me? Its not really critical, i could just model on one of them, and then switch... but its comfortable when there is one model...

wfg, Sindwiller

ps. an Idea for 1.4. The Groupingsystem yet is'nt comfortable in the moment. When i click on a grouped object (ONE of AN group) then the whole group will be selected. OK, but would'nt it be better when a group is just one object (probably with an hierarchial tree? Smile )

I tried this once, it didn't work as well as I had hoped, but it worked.
Export as an .X file, then import it back into your main world and save.

First of all: you are right, there is currently no convenient way to merge two models in DeleD, we're sorry about that. Export/import to/from .X file format, like trucker2000 suggests, is probably your best bet. The good news, however, is that real merging support is high on our list for version 1.4 (or shortly thereafter if we run out of time).

Copy-pasting across different scenes is not supported. Note how it is definitely not supposed to raise an Access Violation, so that is something we'll take a look at. Smile Thanks for reporting that!

Your idea for a new grouping system is most welcome! Better grouping functionality is one of the first thing we'll be looking at after 1.4 is done.

Hmm... i have tried it but its too small and only some parts are imported/exported... it lacks of right textures... i think im waiting out 1.4 before im trying more things out...

Just so you know, 1.4 will be at least 3 to 4 weeks. We have a lot of things to re-implement and then we will need to test _all_ functionality very well. I'm actually counting on it to take more than 4 weeks really.
