Maybe just a little yes/no/cancel messagebox when you click merge? It's easily clicked by accident. Also, are all the verts welded?

Hmmm, you are right, thanks for bringing this up!

It is the only action in object mode without any additional properties needing to be confirmed in the command properties pane. Plus it doesn't offer the functionality to 'undo'.

I don't know about welding, but I do know Jeroen has rewritten this functionality for 1.4 anyway (right?), so we can probably build it in if it wasn't before. Thanks!

Yes, Weld will be rewritten, as will Merge. In fact, I'm rewriting ALL lowpoly routines because we now use our new datamodel. Things will be better. Wink

Hmmm So it currently does or doesn't weld? I'm just asking because I weld after, I was wondering if I was doing it for nothing.

I always click it by accident when going to rotate. Smile

It does weld. To test this, place two cubes right beside eachother where two faces collide, then weld. You will see you entire scene consisting out of 12 vertices, instead of 16. Smile
