Very interesting idea, i think the closest program which uses this function is Adobe Photoshop with it's "Action" System (basically nothing else than an array of functions) but it can check if you pressed button XY an then it runs further - there are quite a lot tutorials out there which comes in this "Action" format. |

Nice idea! The Inkscape tutorial system is also pretty cool, but they get to cheat because their application actually allows you to build documents. |

Actually, that could totally be done. You could, for example, create a window from your plug-in that is TOPMOST, without it having focus. Then find the DeleD window, and move/size it to put your window and that window non-overlapping. Finally, embed a web browser in the plug window to show the tutorial content.
Now, if DeleD could only notify plug-ins when the selection changed, and if you could only extract the sub-object selection... |
