ok, this wierd, I had similar issue today, after reading this thread and like 2 hours headaches!!!

Try optimizing the model and the object your using to cut and then using subtract.

when I try to export I get the error unable to create a directory.

any idea what I am doing wrong?

I might do that, I got it to finally do it but it has holes all over it. for no reason, the CSG just needs cleaned up I think developers know it they are just not sure how high on the list it is for p ...

yes CSG keep crashing on me over just trying to cut a model up so I can put floor layers. Its real bummer as its making it where I have to move over to another model program to finish the model . =(

ok, its wierd, when i try to export in object its trying get the fonts form a folder where the delegine is located at instead of right where model folder is where its exportand it did export the fonts ...

I prefer text as well.
