You should send a copy of the scene file, right before it crashes, to the Delgine guys, so they can reproduce it. Perhaps they'll even fix it. |

I agree -- CSG that messes up your UV coordinates is about as good as no CSG at all. In any real project, you can't build ALL the geometry before you start texturing. |
